What are Tamworth Street Wardens?

Tamworth Street Wardens began patrolling the streets of Tamworth in July 2002. You can recognise them by their cream and green uniform. Tamworth Street Wardens are NOT SUBSTITUTES FOR THE POLICE. They provide a link between the people of the local community, agencies and the Police. Patrols are carried out on foot, bikes and Arriva Buses.

THEY DO NOT HAVE POLICE POWERS OF ARREST

How can they help you?

Wardens can help you in a number of ways:

They can report to responsible agencies, including the Police and they can assess and monitor cases of:

  • Nuisance

  • Racial Incidents

  • Fly Tipping
  • Faulty Street Lighting
  • Damaged Pavements and Roads
  • Abandoned Vehicles

The Team

They can provide support and work with local community groups.

How can you help them?
