ascote Matters - A Project for Glascote Heath

Tamworth Borough Council and colleagues in Glascote Heath have developed a European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) capacity building project for Glascote Heath which commenced in November 2006. The Glascote Matters project contains a wide range of actions that aim to provide the foundation for ongoing community engagement and participation. It will enable residents to build a Community Network and ultimately develop a Neighbourhood Action Plan. Glascote Matters is currently providing the opportunity for local people to "air their views" and the chance to benefit from training, employment and funding initiatives.

The project is part-funded by the ERDF and is seen as an initial phase of a longer community development programme that will enable Glascote Heath residents to benefit from a wide range of support. Further funding will be sought as the project progresses, in collaboration with partners, community groups and residents, to ensure continuation into the future.
